Creative Classroom Assistant (Graduate) - Primary SEND Schools - Salford, Manchester

Start Date: Immediate or September 2025 | Full-Time | Long-Term

Forever Teaching is recruiting a Creative Classroom Assistant (Graduate) to join a Primary SEND School in Salford on a long-term basis, starting immediately or in September 2025.

Role Overview

You will be working closely with children with SEND, supporting them both in and out of the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher. Your creative approach will play a key role in helping children engage, express themselves, and develop socially and academically.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, creative learning opportunities.
  • Use your background in the arts or performance to inspire and motivate children.
  • Support the creation of a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
  • Respond proactively to the needs of individual pupils, adapting your approach where needed.
Requirements / What we are looking for
  • Have a background in creative disciplines such as art, music, drama, dance, sport or performance.
  • Are patient, empathetic and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
  • Have previous experience working with children or young people within the last 2 years.
  • Are confident, proactive, and able to use their initiative in a classroom setting.
  • Hold (or are willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
