Job summary

Join Elysium Healthcare as a Chef at Arbury Court in Warrington, delivering 37.5 hours weekly. You’ll prepare daily meals for service users, staff and visitors, support the Head Chef, and train peers while managing workload across events and special occasions.

You’ll implement healthy menus, follow safety and HACCP standards, and contribute to cost control, stock rotation and menu development for mass catering.

Qualifications

• GCSE English or equivalent.
• City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent).
• Basic Food Preparation.
• Cooking.
• Basic Food Hygiene (essential).
• Intermediate Food Hygiene (desirable).
• Previous experience in a similar environment.
• Previous experience in delivering a service on mass.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef for day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Maintain stock storage procedures and rotate stock.
• Prepare, plan and cook meals to a high standard, accommodating dietary requests.
• Serve food and beverages to service users, staff and visitors professionally.
• Prepare and produce foods for conferences and banquets.
• Participate in costings through effective cost control procedures.
• Adhere to Safer Food Better Business standards and records.
• Follow Food Hygiene Regulations and safety procedures at all times.
• Take shift responsibility for catering operations and assist with menu development.
