Job description

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Creative Artworker to join our Marketing team at Ashtons, Hertfordshire's leading estate agent. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our brand’s growth by producing high-quality artwork. With a strong eye for detail and a passion for design, you will collaborate closely under the management of our Marketing Manager to deliver exceptional digital and print materials that uphold our strong brand identity. As part of our small in-house team, you will become a master of the Ashtons brand while working on our sub-brands, including Ashwell Mortgages and The Collection, as well as artworking requirements for our property developer partnerships. The role requires a high performer who strives for excellence, doesn’t stand still and matches our exceptional standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate to create visually engaging artwork across a variety of marketing materials, including social media graphics, website banners, email campaigns, brochures, leaflets and print assets.
2. Ensure all artwork adheres to the Ashtons brand guidelines and is delivered to the highest standard.
3. Prepare and finalise artwork files for both digital and print use, ensuring precision and quality.
4. Retouch and enhance images to maintain the highest visual standards.
5. Assist in the development and upkeep of brand assets, templates and guidelines.
6. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.

The Ideal Candidate

1. Has experience in a similar Creative Artworker role, designing for both print and digital platforms.
2. Able to showcase a strong portfolio of work, demonstrating skills and capabilities.
3. Is proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (video editing skills are a bonus).
4. Is curious and self-motivated, with a passion for developing skills and staying ahead of industry trends. An understanding of the latest technologies and AI advancements is a must.
5. Thrives in a high-performing environment, aiming to uphold and exceed the standards of Hertfordshire's leading estate agent.
6. Demonstrates flexibility and resilience, with the ability to adapt to varying tasks and priorities across multiple projects.
7. Has exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics, with strong proofreading skills.
8. Possesses technical repro knowledge, with the ability to create documents from scratch and prepare them for press whilst maintaining best practice at all times. This includes taking projects from initial layout through to final artwork, proof-checking and approval. The individual should equally be able to turn their hand to all things digital, ensuring optimal output.
9. Demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills, building strong partnerships across various functions.
10. Works both independently and collaboratively.
11. Has an interest in property, prior experience in a corporate or estate agency sector (advantageous but not essential).

Hours

Monday to Friday: 9.00am – 5.30pm, with an hour for lunch

Office based or Hybrid Working

Hybrid, at least 3 days based in our Harpenden office. Part-time also considered.

Holiday

28 days (inclusive of bank holidays) plus birthday day off
