Job description

Our client based in Surrey/West London area are on the lookout for an artworker to join the studio team. They are back to 5 days a week in the studio but they do have every other Friday off which is not taken out of the given holiday.

This is for a design agency that works in packaging with a number of well-known and small independent brands.

Responsibilities
  1. Take ownership of the design and creative implementation process, incorporating guidelines into master artwork/templates to ensure design aspiration works across all pack formats.
  2. Ensure the artwork team can use your design adaptation files to replicate the style guide requirements efficiently and without requiring additional design approval.
  3. Help and support the creation and management of all required master assets and feed into the style guide process where appropriate.
  4. Demonstrate an understanding of internal artwork procedures and standards, client artwork expectations, and the demands for executing a high turnover of artworks for a major retailer (thousands of SKU's per year).
Requirements
  1. Excellent FMCG packaging experience.
  2. Expert knowledge of packaging artwork and associated printing technologies, preferably from a background as a packaging/technical artworker or having print reproduction experience.
  3. Excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  4. Knowledge of colour separation, file set-up, and supply using spot colour channels.
  5. Demonstration of precision and excellent attention to detail from photography, typography, and file set up to follow the client's guidelines and requirements.
