Job summary

The Ministry of Justice in Norwich is seeking a Creative Arts Co-ordinator for HMP Bure to develop and deliver a diverse range of creative arts programs, including workshops in writing, visual art, drama and music. This role is designed to support prisoner rehabilitation and sentence planning.

Applicants will collaborate with external arts providers, volunteers and staff, mentoring prisoners to grow creativity while maintaining security. Hybrid working is available with a salary of £34,440.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to promote and facilitate creative arts (writing, reading, literacy, visual art, drama, music).
• Experience in preparing and delivering creative workshops and coordinating events.
• Strong communication and influencing skills to engage with prisoners, staff, and external partners.
• Ability to maintain high levels of security and good order within workshop areas.
• Must have right to work in UK or be eligible for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.
• Capable of all spoken aspects of the role in English.

Responsibilities

• Organise workshops in writing, visual art, drama, and music.
