Job summary

Cove School in Hampshire is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Art Teacher to join the department on a full-time basis. You will teach across Year 7 to Year 11 and contribute to both academic and pastoral life of the school, on the ECT, MPR or UPR scale.

Sponsorship is not available for this role. The department has four specialist teachers and well-resourced art rooms, including a kiln room, and offers a supportive professional development programme and opportunities to lead enrichment trips

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the 11-16 Art curriculum up to GCSE level.
• Ability to deliver inspirational and informative lessons to the full age and ability range.
• Strong communication skills for effective dialogue with pupils, parents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge pupils to achieve strong academic progress.
• Teach a standard timetable allocation across Years 7 to 11.
• Share resources and good practice, participate in lesson observations and CPD.
• Safeguard and promote welfare of children and adhere to school policies.
