Job summary

The Bedford College Group in Bedfordshire is seeking a dedicated Art Teacher to deliver high-quality Art & Design education at The Bedford Sixth Form. You will leverage industry experience to guide students, develop schemes of work, assess progress and support learners across levels 1–3.

Salary ranges from £33,048 to £38,169 per annum DOE, with standard holidays, Teacher's Pension, discounts and opportunities for professional development and college course access.

Qualifications

• Degree in a creative subject with PGCE and recent teaching experience across Levels 1–3.
• Commitment to achieving assessor/verifier qualifications and inclusive practice.
• Strong knowledge of Art & Design and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Art & Design teaching with industry insight.
• Develop schemes of work and engaging learning materials.
• Assess learner progress, verify work, and maintain records.
• Provide tutorials and promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive behaviour.
• Contribute to marketing, recruitment and CPD standards with colleagues.
