Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is looking for an Activities Assistant in a care home to deliver imaginative and varied activities for residents. You’ll help create a fulfilling environment, enabling residents to pursue interests and engage with family and the local community.

The role emphasizes enthusiasm, creativity and empathy, with opportunities to develop skills through provided training and courses. The position is part-time (24 hours, daytime shifts).

• Must be enthusiastic and empathetic.
• Interest in helping residents live their lives to the full.

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to residents.
• Help residents live as independently as possible and enhance involvement with family and community.
• Contribute to an entertainment and activities programme including outings and events.
