Job summary

Himley Mill Care Home in Dudley, West Midlands, is seeking an Activities Coordinator to enhance daily life by delivering engaging, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

You will plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs, building strong relationships with residents and the wider team, with training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach to activities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience transferable from hospitality, events, childcare or community work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, meaningful, person-centred activities to promote wellbeing and social interaction.
• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities Tailored to individual interests and care needs.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and enable inclusive participation, including with residents living with dementia.
