Job summary

Belmont Recruitment are seeking an Activities Coordinator to join a large healthcare organisation on a temp-to-perm basis in Northampton. The role involves planning and running resident-centered activities at 37 hours per week, paying £17 per hour, with an initial temporary period leading to permanent employment.

You will focus on engaging residents, promoting wellbeing, and building relationships with staff and residents in a care home setting.

Qualifications

• Experience working with older people, ideally in a care home or healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, compassionate, with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organise activities based around residents' interests and abilities.
• Deliver engaging activities including arts and crafts, music, games, quizzes and social events.
• Encourage residents to participate and promote wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
• Build positive relationships with residents and create a welcoming environment.
• Work with care staff to ensure activities match individual needs.
• Support organisation of special events, celebrations and entertainment.
