Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking an Activities Assistant to deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities for residents in our care home in Horley. You will support social activities, outings and events to help residents stay active and connected with family and local communities.

No specific experience is required; you bring energy, creativity and empathy, and you will have access to training, development and a range of rewards as part of our supportive team.

Qualifications

• No special experience required, just a positive, can-do attitude.
• Must be enthusiastic and empathetic, with a genuine interest in people.
• Ability to encourage and motivate others to participate in activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities for residents.
• Coordinate an entertainment and activities programme including social activities, outings and events.
• Help residents stay as independent as possible and engage with family and the local community.
