JOB DESCRIPTIONWood is recruiting for a Crane / Mechanical Technician for Shell Clipper on a core basis on a 2*2 rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIESCrane and mechanical maintenance, with multi-skilling capability across a number of assets. The candidate will ideally have working experience and knowledge of the Shell ONEgas NUI's and Nodal cranes.
- Lead the execution of work activities safely in accordance with plans, control of work system, and task requirements, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Achieve tool and schedule compliance targets.
- Ensure safe execution of work within discipline through the frontline team.
- Support planning of preventative and corrective maintenance work scopes.
- Manage all SAP requirements for platform cranes, including raising notifications, signing off work orders, inputting data, and managing FLM notifications.
QUALIFICATIONSMechanical Maintenance - TMJI10: Dismantle, assemble, and hand torque flanged joints.
Crane Operator - Stage 3 (or willing to work towards).
NUI Manning Competences - Helideck, coxswain, first aid training desirable but not essential.
HSE- Ensure safe execution of maintenance in the field.
- Review notifications for safety risks and propose pragmatic ALARP solutions.
- Support emergency and standby situations as required.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES- Participate in milestone meetings for upcoming work scopes.
- Ensure sufficient materials and resources are available for scheduled work.
- Work closely with the crane TA and liaise with maintenance teams.
- Assign resources, communicate schedules, and ensure permits are prepared and approved.
- Complete work orders to standard, review work notifications, and highlight schedule conflicts.
- Execute approved work, support backlog reviews, and validate work order backlog through risk assessments.
- Provide coaching, ensure proper housekeeping, and manage resource capacity.
- Attend supervisor calls, review work prep quality, and ensure timely permit processing.
- Drive continuous improvement through metrics and field visits.
- Monitor equipment condition, oversee contractors, and participate in audits and investigations.
GeneralManage activities to meet operational requirements, lead frontline maintenance delivery, and coach staff for team development. Support backlog reduction and offer expertise to ensure accurate platform status.
