Job summary

MadiganGill is currently recruiting an experienced Crane Lift Supervisor to join a major civil engineering project in Bridgwater. Location: Bridgwater, Start Date: 17/09/2026, Duration: 2 Days, Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour.

Role requires supervising lifting operations, coordinating with crane operators and slingers, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Valid CPCS or NPORS with CSCS hologram and full PPE are essential.

Qualifications

• CPCS or NPORS Crane Lift Supervisor qualification (CSCS hologram).
• Previous experience as Crane Lift Supervisor.
• Full PPE and strong understanding of lifting operations and site procedures.
• Reliable and able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations in line with the approved lift plan.
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out safely and comply with legislation and site procedures.
• Brief and coordinate with crane operators, slinger/signallers, and site team before each lift.
• Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure equipment is certified and fit for purpose.
• Monitor lifting operations for HSE compliance.
• Report safety concerns, incidents or defects to management.
• Maintain clear communication with all lifting personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations in accordance with the approved lift plan.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out safely and in line with current legislation and site procedures.
• Brief and coordinate with crane operators, slinger/signallers, and the site team before each lift.
• Carry out pre-lift checks and ensure lifting equipment is suitable, certified, and fit for purpose.
• Monitor lifting operations to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or equipment defects to site management.
• Maintain clear communication with all personnel involved in lifting activities.

Requirements

• Valid CPCS or NPORS (with CSCS hologram) Crane Lift Supervisor qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Crane Lift Supervisor.
• Full PPE, including hi-vis clothing.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations, health and safety, and site procedures.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
