A nationwide service provider is seeking a Field Service Engineer to handle emergency breakdowns across the UK. Offering a £40k+ salary with additional pay for call-outs and overtime, this full-time role requires strong diagnostic skills and a full UK Driving Licence. The engineer will perform servicing, repairs, and inspections on various lifting systems while traveling and staying overnight as needed. This position provides tools, van, and opportunities for ongoing training and development.

What You'll Do

• Attend nationwide breakdowns and emergency call-outs, delivering rapid repairs
• Carry out servicing, inspections, and installations of overhead cranes, hoists, gantries, and lifting systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural faults; apply permanent fixes or safe temporary repairs
• Complete inspection reports, service documentation, and ensure compliance with safety legislation
• Maintain strong customer service and represent the company on-site with professionalism
• Travel and overnight stays as required

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer / Crane Engineer / Mechanical-Electrical Technician
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Able to work independently and handle client-facing situations confidently
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
• Flexible to travel and stay away when needed
• Safety-conscious, reliable, and solution-focused
