Apprenticeship Opportunity!! Full-time role between carrying out the role and your apprenticeship. HMS Raleigh – Cornwall. We are looking to hire a Boat/Hull maintenance apprentice within Capita Public Service / Defence & National Preparedness division of our business. Become a Hull/Boat maintainer with Selborne on a permanent basis, whilst studying towards a professional Level 2 qualification in a boat yard and marina operative Apprenticeship. Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

You’ll complete your Level 2 Boatyard & Marina Operative Apprenticeship qualification over 24-months and will be equipped with real on-the-job learning and experience, finding out how our business works to grow your professional knowledge, all while earning a great salary and working towards a recognised professional qualification. After a full induction and initial training programme, you will join our team full-time, with time set aside so you can continue working towards your professional qualification. Once you have completed this, you will put all of your knowledge to fantastic use and decide what’s next for your career!
We’re not looking for previous experience or a career history. We want someone who’s happy to work outdoors in all the elements, possibly has a passion for boats or the Royal Navy but most of all someone who is keen to learn! This role will be based at HMS Raleigh, Torpoint. We’ll give you all the support you need, with a structured induction programme to prepare you for the role, a buddy to answer your questions, a career coach to offer you advice and set development goals, and regular check-ins with your team manager.
