Job summary

The Hartford in London is seeking an Intl Underwriter I to support the growth and profitability of the CPRI portfolio. You will underwrite new and renewal accounts and negotiate pricing and terms with brokers in line with global guidelines.

Based in London, with UK and international travel, you will develop opportunities, build strong relationships with brokers and insureds, and contribute to strategy and product development in political risk and trade finance.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in international CPRI markets is required.
• Ability to analyse underwriting trends and profitability.
• Strong relationship-building with brokers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet profitability targets.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers.
• Align underwriting with CPRI Global guidelines and frameworks.
• Support global underwriting and marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to drive opportunities and portfolio balance.
• Develop new products and geographic expansion for CPRI.
• Support acquisition and retention of business through meetings with insureds.
• Build strong relationships with brokers and insureds.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
