Are you a Band 6 CPN looking for a rewarding locum role in Shrewsbury? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Key Details:
  • Job Title: CPN Band 6
  • Location: Shrewsbury area
  • Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • End Date: TBC
  • Rate of Pay: £25.50 - £26.50 per hour
A Day in the Life of a CPN:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse and make a real difference in the lives of women and families within a Perinatal Community Mental Health Team. Your core responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations
  2. Developing and implementing personalised care and treatment plans
  3. Medication management and participation in duty rotas
  4. Carrying a caseload and providing continuity of care
  5. Overseeing students and supporting their learning and development
  6. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and midwives
  7. Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in line with compliance standards
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN
  • Essential: Care coordination experience
  • Desirable: Experience in perinatal mental health services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality mental health & nursing care
Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This full-time role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is for 3 months ongoing, with a strong likelihood of extension based on performance and service needs.
