The position offers an excellent opportunity for Cover Teachers to gain further school-based experience before moving onto teacher training in the future.

Candidate Profile:

We seek enthusiastic, reliable, and forward-thinking Cover Teachers, especially graduates in Science, Maths, English, or PE, who are looking to gain experience before undertaking PGCE or GTP, or those seeking to gain teaching experience in a school or college.

This role involves managing classes in the teacher's absence and undertaking additional duties as requested. You may cover lessons in the morning and coach PE in the afternoon—varied and engaging!

You will receive support and training from Heads of Department and experienced teachers. You must be able to manage the class effectively, establish a positive environment, and ensure pupils have the resources needed to complete their work. Familiarity with school policies and good communication skills are essential. Confidence in your abilities is important, and all necessary training will be provided.

Requirements:

• All degrees are welcome
• Desirable but not essential: Maths / Science / English degree or other degrees
• Desirable but not essential: FE qualification
• A fully enhanced UK DBS on the update service (or will be processed on your behalf)
• Passion, drive, and aspirations to become a future teacher
