Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester

Are you a confident and adaptable teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU)? Hays Education is recruiting on behalf of a well-established PRU in Manchester, supporting students aged 11–16 who are not currently in mainstream education due to behavioural, emotional, or social challenges. This is a full-time teaching role available immediately or from September 2025, initially on a temporary basis with the potential to be permanent.

Your New Role
  1. Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to KS3 and KS4 students
  2. Manage classroom behaviour and support students with additional needs
  3. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SEN staff
  4. Provide a consistent and structured learning environment for students in alternative provision
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant classroom experience
  2. Experience working with secondary school students
  3. Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  4. A flexible, calm, and resilient approach to teaching
  5. Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)
