Teach South Kent is seeking qualified Cover Teachers for Tenterden and surrounding schools. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and adapt to different subjects as required.

Qualifications

The role As a Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons using the work provided by the class teacher and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Supporting students with their learning
• Taking registers and following school procedures
• Providing feedback to school staff where appropriate
• Ensuring students remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or relevant classroom/education experience
• Experience working with secondary-aged students
• Strong classroom management skills
• Confidence working across different subjectsA calm, professional and adaptable approach
• The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

Experienced Cover Supervisors and unqualified teachers are also encouraged to apply, depending on experience.
