Cover Teacher - Sutton

Prospero are looking for an enthusiastic Cover Teacher to assist in supporting secondary students across a range of subjects. Acting as a work-finding service, Prospero Teaching has a diverse range of secondary schools in Sutton. If you are seeking a long-term position, we would be happy to hear from you.

  • Location - Sutton
  • Position - Cover Teacher
  • Type of work - Cover Teacher
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration - Long term
  • End date - No end date
  • Contract type - Temporary with the view to go permanent
  • Minimum rate of pay - £140 per day
  • Hours - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (full day)

Typical duties include but are not limited to:

  • Working with all ability ranges, including those with EAL and SEN
  • Running intervention sessions and booster groups with pupils who need additional support

Experience, training, and qualifications:

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • A degree or QTS
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable but not essential)

To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:

  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
