Job description

Job Title: Cover Supply Teacher
Location: England, Greater London, Mitcham
Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time
Primary Industry: Education and Training
Salary: £150 - £200 Per day
Job Duties:

As a Cover Supply Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour
  • Ensuring educational goals are met
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Prior experience working in a classroom setting is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments
  • Effective classroom management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional certifications in relevant subject areas
  • Experience working with special educational needs (SEN) students
Working Conditions:

This role involves working on a temporary, part-time basis, covering absences as required. You may need to travel to different schools within the Mitcham area. The working hours are typically during the school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
