Overview

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, providing a seamless educational experience and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in classroom management, school support roles, or starting a career in teaching. This role offers the flexibility to work supply teaching on a full-time or part-time basis, covering multiple schools.

Responsibilities
  • Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared materials
  • Managing classroom behaviour and encouraging student participation
  • Supporting pupils to stay focused and engaged
  • Maintaining a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment
  • Reporting back to teaching staff on pupil progress and behaviour
Qualifications
  • Experience working with young people (e.g. in education, coaching, youth work, care, mentoring)
  • Confident classroom presence and strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow lesson plans and manage behaviour positively
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • UK residency with the legal right to work
