Job summary

Academics is recruiting Cover Supervisors and Instructors to support Southampton secondary schools this academic year. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and keep students engaged when the regular teacher is absent.

Roles can be general cover or subject-specific based on your background. We offer daily supply and longer-term contracts with pay starting from £100 per day, and a dedicated consultant to help you find the right placement in the local education

Qualifications

• A UK-recognised degree
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or working with young people in an educational setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff
• A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
