Job description

We are seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to join a network of secondary schools, providing high-quality classroom supervision in the absence of the regular teacher.

This role is ideal for individuals with prior classroom experience who are confident managing behaviour, delivering pre-set work, and maintaining a focused learning environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervising lessons across a variety of subjects using pre-prepared materials

• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

• Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment

• Reporting back to teachers on student progress and any issues

• Assisting with general school duties when required

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Proven experience as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom management skills as a Cover Supervisor.

• Confident, adaptable, and professional approach

• Ability to engage and motivate students across different age groups and abilities

• A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection

• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
