Cover Supervisor/Supply Teacher needed in Kitts Green!

Location: Kitts Green

Start Date: Immediately

Do you have experience supporting young people with additional needs? Do you have resilience and patience? Are you a Cover Supervisor or Supply Teacher?

TeacherActive is proud to partner with a fantastic Primary and KS3 SEND School based in Hodge Hill. The school follows a varied curriculum to suit the needs of the young people with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Underpinning this is the consistent teaching of people skills and guidance to assist children in developing their social, emotional, and personal abilities. Their culture is one of patience, inclusivity, and helping children and young people with disabilities to achieve their full potential while promoting independence.

The school is looking to take on a member of staff on a day-to-day basis. The successful Teacher will be working directly with students across all Key Stages, whose ages range from 5 – 14 years. Most of the young people are diagnosed with either Autism/ASD, Learning Difficulties/LD, or Attention Deficit Disorder/ADD/Mental health.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

  1. QTS
  2. Experience working with children and young people with additional needs, specifically ASD, SLD, challenging behaviour, SEMH
  3. Experience supporting children through therapeutic practices
