Location: South Manchester
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:20am - 3:20pm

Are you a graduate or experienced cover supervisor looking for full-time work in Manchester from September? Join a high-performing, Ofsted-rated Good secondary academy and make a meaningful impact on students' learning and development.

The Role:

  • Supervise secondary classes in the absence of teachers (ages 11-18)
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and manage classroom behaviour
  • Support learning across multiple subjects and year groups
  • Contribute to enrichment sessions, admin tasks, and pastoral support when not covering lessons

Ideal Candidate:

We welcome applications from graduates with experience in:

  • Working in schools or colleges
  • Youth work or sports coaching
  • Outdoor education or children's activity leadership
  • Community groups or church youth clubs

Preferred degrees in Maths, English, Science, or Humanities, with strong GCSEs (Grades A -C / 6-9) in core subjects.

  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, overseas police checks (if applicable), and full professional references
  • A CV with complete employment and education history, including explanations for any gaps
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
