Job description

Prospero Teaching is working with various secondary schools in all areas of South East London (Greenwich, Camberwell, Lewisham, Bromley, Bexley, etc.).

This position is for a cover supervisor (no experience required) in various schools on a temporary/daily basis.

You would be required to be punctual, have a real passion for teaching, and be able to manage behaviour and develop your classroom management skills. Prospero Teaching also has a learning and development team to help you grow as a cover supervisor.

• Supervising work set in accordance with school policy
• Managing pupil behaviour to ensure a constructive environment
• Responding to pupil questions about process and procedures
• Dealing with immediate problems or emergencies per school policies
• Collecting and returning completed work to the appropriate teacher
• Reporting on pupil behaviour and issues as per school procedures

Location: South East London

Position: Cover Supervisor

Type of work: Covering absent teachers (all year groups)

Start date: ASAP

Contract type: Temporary (ad hoc)

Work hours: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm or 4:00 pm (may vary)

Pay rate: GBP 90 per day
