This role, ideal for those looking to step into teaching or mentoring, involves supervising various subjects and maintaining classroom management without the need for planning or marking. Enjoy term-time work with weekly pay and support from local consultants.
Calling all natural classroom leaders!
If you’ve got the confidence to take the reins when a teacher’s away and the kind of presence that keeps a class on track (and maybe even smiling), this one’s for you.
We’re looking for a confident, calm and capable Cover Supervisor to join a busy secondary school in Sheffield this September. You’ll step into a variety of lessons across subjects, keeping learning on track and behaviour in check – no planning or marking needed.
Why you’ll love it:
Your days are varied – no two lessons are ever the same
You’re in charge, but you’re never on your own – support is always nearby
It’s term-time only, so your holidays stay sacred
It’s a brilliant stepping stone into teaching, behaviour mentoring or pastoral support
You’ll need to:
Feel confident managing a secondary classroom
Stay calm under pressure (and have a good sense of humour)
Be reliable, adaptable and happy to jump into different subjects
No QTS? No problem.
Experience working with young people (youth work, sports coaching, tutoring) counts big time here.
