SEND Cover Supervisor - September Start
Location: Bristol
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £100 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

Are you confident leading a classroom and passionate about supporting students with special educational needs?
Do you have experience working with children with SEND and want to play a key role in a specialist or inclusive school environment?

We are seeking a proactive and reliable SEND Cover Supervisor to join our team from September 2025. This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom management skills who is confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher across various subjects
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and sensitively
  • Offer pastoral and learning support, adapting to the needs of each pupil
  • Work collaboratively with TAs, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure continuity and support for all students


About You:

  • Experience working in a school or education setting, ideally with SEND pupils
  • Confident managing a classroom and supporting learners with diverse needs
  • Calm, adaptable, and patient with a strong understanding of inclusive practice
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • A passion for helping young people reach their full potential
  • Experience in a special school, alternative provision, or with SEMH
  • Knowledge of EHCPs, behaviour management strategies, or trauma-informed practice
  • Degree or relevant qualification in education, child development, or similar
