Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a secondary school in Colchester to appoint a Cover Supervisor for an immediate start on a short-term contract. You will deliver pre-set work, manage classroom behaviour and support KS3/KS4 pupils, reporting to teaching staff after lessons.

Ideal candidates include graduates with UQT/ECT/QTS status or those currently pursuing teaching qualifications, and those with strong communication skills and a flexible, positive approach.

Qualifications

• UQT, ECT or QTS status welcomed, graduates also encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with young people is desirable.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Confidence delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A flexible and positive approach to supporting pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set work across KS3/KS4.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain pupil engagement.
• Support KS3 and KS4 pupils and report back to teaching staff after lessons.
