Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a confident Cover Supervisor to work across Bristol secondary schools. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, manage behaviour, and ensure pupils stay on task in a variety of subjects.

This flexible role offers day-to-day and longer-term placements, with a driving requirement and access to your own vehicle. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar classroom role.
• Ability to manage a class independently and maintain behaviour.
• Willingness to travel across different secondary schools in Bristol.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
• Enhanced DBS via Update Service or willing to apply.

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for flexible work across Bristol?

Vision for Education are looking to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work across a range of secondary schools throughout Bristol. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the variety that supply work offers while gaining experience in different school settings.

Due to travelling between schools, you must be a driver with access to your own vehicle.

The role

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and behaviour expectations are maintained. You'll work across a variety of subjects, manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment throughout the school day.

Assignments can vary from day-to-day cover through to longer-term placements, giving you flexibility while maintaining regular work.

Requirements

To be considered for the role, you'll:

• Have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar classroom-based role.
• Be confident managing a classroom independently.
• Have strong behaviour management skills.
• Be adaptable and able to work across different secondary schools.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
• Hold, or be willing to apply for, an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
• Be able to provide suitable references.
