GSL Education Manchester is currently recruiting a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming and well-managed secondary school in Rochdale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience or continue their career in education.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You’ll supervise pre-set lessons across various subjects, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising whole-class lessons during teacher absence

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment

Supporting students in completing tasks and staying focused

Reporting back to teaching staff on student engagement and conduct

Following school policies, including safeguarding and behaviour expectations

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, mentoring, or youth work)

Confident and calm classroom presence

Strong behaviour management and communication skills

Reliability, flexibility, and a genuine interest in education

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
