Teaching Personnel is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in the Richmond area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will manage classroom behavior, deliver pre-set work, and ensure a positive learning environment.
Supervise classes across various subjects, ensuring students remain on task.
Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher.
Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and any issues.
Support students with their learning where necessary.
Confident in managing classroom dynamics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptable and able to think on your feet.
Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or youth work) is desirable but not essential.
A passion for education and supporting student development.
