Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £110 – £115 per day

Are you a PGCE student who’s just finished your course and eager to step into the classroom before securing your QTS? Teaching Personnel is offering a fantastic opportunity to build hands-on teaching experience across secondary schools in the Newport, Cwmbran, and Pontypool areas during the summer term.
This is a perfect chance to gain valuable classroom experience, boost your confidence, and make connections that could lead to a permanent role in September!
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll:
Supervise lessons in the absence of the regular teacher
Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
Deliver pre-prepared lessons and support students in their learning
Build rapport with students and staff across different schools
Experience a variety of schools and departments to expand your skillset
Recently completed PGCE student (awaiting or close to achieving QTS)
Passionate about teaching and inspiring young learners
Confident in managing a classroom
Eligible to work in the UK
EWC registered (or willing to register)
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or happy to apply through us)
Paid teaching experience before starting your first QTS role
Exposure to local schools – ideal for future job applications
Fast-track your transition into full-time teaching from September
Personal support from a dedicated education consultant
