GSL Education Manchester is currently recruiting a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in a welcoming and well-run secondary school in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience or continue their career in education.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning when teachers are absent. You’ll be supervising pre-set lessons across various subjects, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising whole-class lessons during teacher absence

Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment

Supporting students in completing tasks and staying on track

Reporting back to relevant staff on student progress and behaviour

Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with young people (in schools, tutoring, coaching, or youth work)

Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management skills

Reliable, flexible, and able to work full-time

A genuine interest in education and supporting student development

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
