Experienced Cover Supervisor

Full-time

TeacherActive is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support general cover duties at a mainstream Secondary School in Worcester.

Pay rates range from GBP 90 to GBP 120 per full day, depending on experience.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervise a classroom of approximately 30-32 students during their pre-prepared work in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Take registers and record absences.
• Maintain student engagement and ensure work completion.
• Ensure student safety and classroom tidiness.
• Utilize strong behavioural and classroom management skills.

Candidate Requirements

• Over 12 months of experience as a Cover Supervisor.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Ability to cover multiple subjects.
• Passion for education, self-motivated, and confident in managing a classroom.
• Availability to work school hours (8:30-3:30).

Role duration is from after the February half-term until April, with potential for extension.

Additional Information

All supply staff are paid weekly via PAYE, ensuring proper tax and National Insurance contributions without admin deductions.
