Cover Supervisor Jobs in Birmingham KS3 & KS4

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in South Birmingham. Our client schools are committed to excellence, ensuring all students leave their academies as confident, inspirational individuals who are prepared for the modern world. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of learning and behaviour, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of the classroom teacher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Years 7-11).
• Support pupils with their learning and encourage positive classroom behaviour.
• Manage classroom activities and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Work on a flexible basis (ad-hoc cover or longer block bookings).
• Opportunities for full-time (5 days per week) or part-time work.

Job Details

• Job Title: Cover Supervisor Secondary Schools
• Location: Birmingham (South Birmingham and surrounding areas)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract: Temporary, ongoing
• Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, flexible days available
• Pay: GBP 85-110 per day (dependent on experience)

Requirements

• Experience working in a school setting (secondary preferred).
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training (Prospero can provide free training if needed).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• An enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references.
