Job description

Are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive secondary school environment? We are seeking a confident and dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team at a vibrant and inclusive school in Barking commencing in September on a full-time basis.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. You will supervise whole classes across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering pre-prepared lesson plans and ensuring a positive and productive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and oversee set work left by absent teachers.
  • Manage the behaviour of students in the classroom to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • To provide cover to the inclusion hub.
  • Report back to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
  • Support the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies.
