Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Grimsby
Salary: £100 £130 per day
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education is currently seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Grimsby .This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, especially for those considering a future in teaching or education support.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into the classroom to supervise pre-set lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged in their learning.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and supervise class activities in the absence of the regular teacher
• Ensure a positive learning environment is maintained
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour
• Support students with their learning and encourage classroom participation

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people or within a school setting is desirable
• Confident, professional, and able to lead a classroom independently
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A genuine interest in education and student development
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
