Cover Supervisor - Doncaster

Academics are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor in Doncaster to start working with our client partner schools as soon as possible to support with local education and training. Academics are one of the UK's largest, leading education recruitment agencies offering a daily rate of 90 - 130 per day depending on your experience in the role and the requirements.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is perfect for someone who is degree-level trained and considering a career in teaching. It also suits individuals with experience working with children or teenagers previously in settings such as tutoring, summer camps, youth work, or extracurricular clubs for example. This position allows you to work directly in education and training, gaining valuable classroom experience

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise and cover pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
• Ensure all students are engaged and set high expectations to promote positive learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy, creating a safe and productive learning environment.
• Communicate with class teachers and other staff to report on student progress or pass on important messages.
• Uphold the school's safeguarding policy - safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
