Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools - Corby
Location: Corby
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time Long-Term / Permanent
Salary: Competitive hourly/daily rates (dependent on experience)

We are recruiting Cover Supervisors for several secondary schools in Corby to join their teams from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely within schools, supporting teachers and ensuring students continue learning smoothly.

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring students stay engaged and complete tasks using pre-prepared lesson plans and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage student behaviour across a variety of subjects (KS3 and KS4)

• Deliver pre-set lesson content, ensuring students follow instructions and remain on task

• Support students with their learning where appropriate, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere

• Report any issues, concerns, or progress updates to teaching staff promptly

• Assist with school routines including break and corridor supervision as required

• Be a dependable and consistent presence within the school community

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or school environment

• Confident and calm approach to managing classroom behaviour with authority and respect

• Ability to follow lesson plans and give clear, concise instructions to students

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a school team

• Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic demands of a school setting
