Cover Supervisor - Rotherham | ASAP start | £100 - £130 per day | temporary supply contract

Are you looking to take your first step into a career within education and training?

Have you previously worked with young people and want to gain hands-on, paid experience in a classroom as a Cover Supervisor? Or are you an ECT and looking to gain an invaluable insight into schools local to you to find your new permanent role?

Academics are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor in Rotherham to start working with our client partner schools.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is perfect for someone who is degree-level trained and considering a career in education and training. It also suits ECTs and individuals with experience working with children or teenagers in settings such as tutoring, summer camps, youth work, or extracurricular clubs. This position allows you to work directly in schools across Rotherham and the surrounding areas, gaining valuable classroom experience whilst being paid. As a Cover Supervisor, you can expect a daily rate from £100+ per day depending on your experience level.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and cover pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
2. Ensure students are engaged and set high expectations to promote positive learning.
3. Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy, creating a safe and productive learning environment.
4. Communicate with staff members; report on student progress and pass on important messages.
5. Uphold the school's safeguarding policy - safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
