Do you have strong behaviour management skills and are ready to step into the classroom as a cover supervisor?

Are you looking to get into teaching and would like to gain additional experience in the classroom, as a cover supervisor, prior to starting your initial teacher training?

Have you got the ability to build strong relationships with children and adults alike and would like to utilise those skills as a cover supervisor?

Academics are extremely excited to announce that we are looking for enthusiastic cover supervisors to work with our partner schools across Havering. Experience is desirable, but not essential.

Requirements of a cover supervisor:

• A cover supervisor will be open to work with numerous secondary schools in the local area
• A cover supervisor will be required to support pupils with queries about the work set
• A cover supervisor will be proactive and keep busy throughout the day
• A cover supervisor will supervise classes of pupils in the absence of the usual teacher, distribute work and ensure the classes are behaving appropriately to ensure a positive learning environment
• A cover supervisor will use the behaviour management policy to adequately manage student behaviour
• A cover supervisor will be flexible with their job role throughout the day
• A cover supervisor will have excellent time management skills

To be considered for the role of a cover supervisor:

• DBS (on the update service)
• Ideally degree educated
• Experience is not essential - but a bonus!
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• 2 satisfactory references must be provided
• Proof of Address
• Overseas Police Check will be required if you have been outside of the UK for a period longer than 6 months in the past 5 years
