Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Wingerworth
Salary Range: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Full-time/Part-time

GSL Education are currently hiring a confident and dependable Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Wingerworth. This exciting role is perfect for individuals enthusiastic about education and eager to gain hands-on classroom experience as a steppingstone towards a future in teaching or school-based support roles.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, your main role will be to oversee classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students stay engaged with their assigned work. You ll deliver prepared lesson plans, maintain classroom discipline, and foster a calm and productive atmosphere for learning.

Your Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor (CS):

• Present pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects for students.
• Keep learners attentive, motivated, and well-behaved during teacher absences.
• Effectively handle classroom behaviour in accordance with school guidelines.
• Communicate any concerns or incidents to senior leaders or teaching staff.
• Provide support to children as needed while ensuring a calm and secure learning space.

Requirements for a Cover Supervisor (CS):

• Prior experience working with young people or within an educational setting is preferred.
• Confident classroom presence with proven behaviour management skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Flexible and resilient, able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
