Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS) – Primary Setting
Location: Hailsham
Salary: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term

Are you confident managing a classroom and passionate about helping young learners succeed?

GSL Education are currently looking to recruit a committed Cover Supervisor for primary setting in Hailsham. Starting this September, this full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and is ready to step up and lead learning when teachers are absent.

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, maintaining classroom routines, and ensuring a positive and productive learning atmosphere. It’s a great opportunity to build hands-on experience in a primary setting.

Responsibilities as Cover Supervisor (CS):

  • Supervise whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
  • Ensure pupils stay on task and complete the work set.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and follow school policies.
  • Support pupils with questions and encourage participation.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure consistency.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or in a school environment.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and confident in leading learning.
  • A current, up-to date CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
