In this role ofCover Supervisor, you will ensure continuity of learning when teachers are absent and provide support across a variety of subjects and classes and support students’ education on an ad-hoc basis.

Responsibilities of a CS:

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Ensuring students remain engaged, focused, and on task during lessons.
• Implementing the planned learning activities and maintaining classroom routines.
• Supporting students with additional needs when required.
• Maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

To be successful as a Cover Supervisor, you should:

• Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Be confident, organised, and able to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
• Provide a full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
