Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: East Bergholt
Salary Range: £90 - £140per day(Depending on Experience)

Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Are you passionate about working with children and confident in leading a classroom? GSL Education are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor (CS) to work in a supportive primary school located in East Bergholt, starting September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, and experienced support staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience and make a meaningful impact.

About the Role:

The Cover Supervisor will step into classrooms when teachers are absent, delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring that pupils remain focused and engaged throughout the day. This role plays a key part in maintaining continuity in teaching and learning in the absence of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising pre-set lessons across Key Stages 1 and 2.
• Managing pupil behaviour in line with school policies.
• Ensuring students remain on task and complete their work.
• Reporting back to teachers on the day’s progress and pupil behaviour.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential.
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• A degree or relevant education-based experience is beneficial.
• Enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting children's education.
• Have anupdated CV(covering thelast ten years barring any unexplained gaps) andan enhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
