Cowes Enterprise College is seeking a Cover Supervisor to manage classroom activities and support students in the absence of their teacher. This role provides an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to teach, with a focus on fostering a positive learning environment and developing educational skills.
We are looking for a Cover Supervisor to supervise classes and oversee the completion of work by students in the absence of the nominated teacher. The role is based on working 37 hours per week, term time plus 1 week (39 working weeks).
The responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor are varied, requiring a wide range of skills. Good interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to earn and maintain the respect of students and ensure appropriate classroom behaviour. Applicants must be enthusiastic, have a determined character, and possess a positive approach to working with young people, with the ability to set clear guidelines.
This role is ideal for someone aspiring to become a qualified teacher, providing invaluable teaching experience.
