Do you enjoy working with young people? Have you considered working in Secondary Schools as a Cover Supervisor?

We are working with a range of Secondary Schools across London that are looking for confident, professional, and dedicated individuals to work as Cover Supervisors. These roles involve providing short-term and daily cover for teachers.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will work in secondary schools covering classes and ensuring students are engaged with tasks while teachers are absent or occupied with meetings. This is a key role in secondary schools, and most schools will engage cover supervisors to support their teaching staff.

This is a great opportunity to work flexibly and gain valuable experience within secondary education.

Cover Supervisors are required for the full school day, approximately 8:30 am to 3:45 pm.

Flexible Work Options

Many Cover Supervisors start on a short-term or supply basis. This setup is ideal if you want to work a few days locally or build experience in secondary schools. For more experienced candidates, full-time contracts are also available.

Requirements to Become a Cover Supervisor

No formal qualifications are necessary, but some experience working with young people is required.

This role is suitable for:

  • Graduates considering a career in secondary education
  • Youth workers
  • Summer camp leaders
  • Sports coaches for secondary students
  • Individuals with experience supporting young offenders

You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate to work with children, along with two references covering the past two years. If you do not have a DBS, we can assist you in obtaining one from the UK Disclosure and Barring Service.

Most importantly, you should have a confident, positive, and professional approach to working with young people.

If you are interested in working as a Cover Supervisor in Secondary Schools, please apply now with an up-to-date CV. Our team will be in touch.

We aim to respond to all applications within three working days. Due to high volume, we may not reply to every enquiry. If you do not hear from us within this timeframe, your application was unsuccessful on this occasion. Philosophy Education is a recruitment business representing one of its clients.
